Brief Information: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 Notification. Candidates who wish to build their career as a Primary Teacher (Class 1–5) or Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6–8) in government and private schools can now apply online. The online application window has been activated from 27 November 2025 to 18 December 2025, and the entrance examination will be conducted on 8 February 2026 across multiple exam centres in India.

CTET Eligibility Criteria – February 2026
1. Primary Level (Class 1 to 5)
Candidate must meet any one of the following:
- Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
- Senior Secondary with 45% marks and passed/appearing in D.El.Ed as per NCTE 2002 norms
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Special Education
- Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed, subject to completion of 6-month Bridge Course after appointment
- Post-Graduation with 55% marks and passed/appearing in integrated B.Ed-M.Ed
2. Junior Level (Class 6 to 8)
Candidate must meet any one of the below:
- Graduation and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Graduation or Post-Graduation with 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed
- Graduation with 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed as per NCTE norms
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- Graduation with 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed Special Education
- Post-Graduation with 55% marks and passed/appearing in integrated B.Ed-M.Ed
Candidates pursuing NCTE/RCI-recognized teacher training programs are also eligible to appear for CTET.

Follow these steps to submit the CTET Application Form:
- Visit the official website → ctet.nic.in
- Click on “Apply Online for CTET February 2026”
- Register using basic details and generate login credentials
- Fill the complete application form carefully – name, personal details, address, education etc.
- Upload documents in prescribed format (Photo, Signature, Certificates)
- Select exam city and preferred language of the paper
- Pay the application fee through available modes
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page
- Take a printout / PDF save for future reference
