UGC NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have a Master’s Degree (Postgraduate) in a relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (for General category).
- A relaxation of 5% marks is given to OBC (NCL) / SC / ST / PwD candidates.
- Final-year Master’s students can also apply.
- Candidates with a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree as per NEP 2020 are also eligible.
Age Limit (as on 01 December 2025)
- For JRF: Maximum 30 years
- For Assistant Professor (NET): No upper age limit
